The Alliance launched a new local cable TV campaign on the Cape & Islands on November 5, 2024 asking viewers to visit our website to sign the online petition urging our elected officials to designate Nantucket Sound as a National Historic Landmark. The new campaign highlights the importance of safeguarding this unique ecosystem, especially in light of recent turbine blade failures south of the Islands and off the coast of England, underscoring the risks that can come from poorly sited industrial development.
