Join us for a shoreline-inspired adventure that will change the way you see seashells! In this engaging ACONS (A Celebration of Nantucket Sound) webinar, conservation leader, shellfish biologist, and author (Rowing Forward, Looking Back) Sandy Macfarlane invites you to explore the remarkable stories hidden within the shells we often admire along the beaches of Cape Cod and Nantucket Sound. From bold and colorful to subtle and weathered, every shell reveals something about marine life—and even about ourselves.
Drawing from a lifetime spent by the sea and a career devoted to coastal conservation, Sandy will share fascinating insights, personal stories from her global travels, and the surprising roles shells play in our natural world. Whether you’re an avid beachcomber or simply love a peaceful walk along the shore, this fun and educational talk will deepen your appreciation for the treasures waiting at your feet—just in time for summer days on the beach this season!
A Q&A session, moderated by Alliance president and CEO Audra Parker, will follow the presentation. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask Sandy questions during the Q&A.
