Join us for our ACONS (A Celebration of Nantucket Sound) webinar as we look at some of the most famous (and devastating) storms of Cape Cod and Nantucket Sound. Our guest speaker is award-winning author and historian Don Wilding.

Author, Don Wilding

Don Wilding has been telling stories of Cape Cod and New England history for decades. He is the author of four books including, Cape Cod and the Portland Gale of 1898, Henry Beston’s Cape Cod: How ‘The Outermost House’ Inspired a National Seashore, A Brief History of Eastham: On the Outer Beach of Cape Cod, and Shipwrecks of Cape Cod: Stories of Triumph & Tragedy. His fifth book, Historic Storms of Cape Cod is scheduled to be released this May. Click here to read the March 1st article in the Cape Cod Chronicle on his latest work.

Don has also worked as a Cape Cod tour guide, newspaper editor, and writer. He was also a contributing history columnist and photographer for Cape newspapers. He has led history walks for the Harwich Conservation Trust since 2018 and was recognized as one of their “Conservationists of the Year” in 2023.

A live Q&A with Don and Alliance president Audra Parker will follow the presentation.
